John Prince lives and works in Atlanta, GA. He received his MFA in photography from the Ernest G. Welch School of Art and Design at Georgia State University. His current work explores the idea of place and personal mythology. In 2016 Prince was awarded the Welch Award for Graduate Summer Research for a photographic project made in New Kensington, PA. Prince’s work has been featured in the online publications of Oxford American, Humble Arts Foundation, The Latent Image and Ain’t Bad magazine as well as print publications Southern Glossary and Code-Switch Visual Journal. His work has been exhibited nationally at Aqua Art Miami, Thomas Dean, Eyedrum, and Mint Galleries in Atlanta and the Darkroom Gallery in Vermont. His recent work was included in the Mark Steinmetz curated exhibition B/W Now.
